The article describes the activities of the Renovationist Moscow theological Academy, an institution which, according to the organizers, had to provide the Renovationism with educated workers, to enhance its credibility in the confrontation with traditional Orthodoxy. In historiography there are no special publications devoted to the history of the Academy. The main sources through which one can get an idea about features of its organization and functioning, are the materials of the Moscow Renovationist diocesan administration and organs of the OGPU, the memories of contemporaries and direct participants in the events. In General, the level of education in Academy was rather low, and goals have not been achieved. In the context of the tightening of state antireligious policies it ceases to exist.
