Abstract

Presented data on the number of distilling enterprises in the Tver province in the late XVIII – early XX century. and contested Sweda of contained in the book K. I. Yurchuk «Lists distilleries Russia XVIII–XIX centuries». On the basis of archival documents show that the published statistical information, particularly in the «Pamyatnye knizhki» contain inaccurate data, in connection with which this kind of sources can not be used to compile accurate lists of distilleries and other businesses.
