«THE SERBIAN AFFAIR» IN THE RUSSIAN-AUSTRIAN RELATIONS DURING SEVEN YEARS WAR 1756–1763
Keywords:
Seven Years War, the Russian-Austrian relations, the Russian-Serbian relations, the Russian diplomacy.Abstract
In days of Seven Years War (1756-1763) Russia and Austria were allies on struggle against Prussia. Despite it, their relations were complicated by the Serbian question. Petersburg did constant representations in protection of the Austrian Serbs against oppressions of Catholics, but the situation did not change. As a result Russian government has decided to draw on the future post-war peace congress on inclusion in the all-European peace treaty a guarantee of the rights of Orthodox in the German earths. Plans of Russian protection of Orthodox in Europe have not been realised because of an exit of Russia from Seven Years War after death of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna.Downloads
