Abstract

The article is devoted to Olonets ploughmen soldiers' regiments before the Russian-Polish war of 1654—1667. The main attention is paid to revealing data about preparing the regiments to the war: their training, armament, logistics and quantity. The author shows how the government position to these military units recruited of local state peasants and firstly intended only for the Russian-Swedish border guarding had changed.
