Abstract

This article gives the analysis of the activity of Platon (Levshin), the future Metropolitan of Moscow, an outstanding religious figure of the end of the 18th – the beginning of the 19th century, an associate of Catherine II and Paul I, during the period of his being the archbishop of Tver eparchy.
