Abstract

The author offers his review of the pre-revolutionary literature devoted to studying of structure, position and number of free hiring employees of the Zemstvo basic specialities (doctors, medical assistants, teachers) in second half XIX – beginning XX century. She has revealed achievement and general level of the elaboration of the problem. Poorly explored plots have also been revealed.
