Abstract

Revealing the chronological specificity of Tver in comparison with the sample chronological scale of medieval Novgorod is article’s aim. In spite of political and economical ties with Novgorod republic during period under review, the author discovered the chronological specificity of Tver, which brought it together Nizhni Novgorod and Bolgar. It is the author's opinion that Tver was young center with specific cultural characteristics, the urban culture in which was formed irregularly as a result of interior(ties with Novgorod) and external(effecting of the Tatar yoke) factors.
