Abstract

The article presents preliminary results of the historical geography study of Suzemje and Shestka volost´s of Tver district, which based on pistzoviye books of XVI century. The localization of settlements, churches, monasteries, and landownings is the result of the research. The boundaries and the territorial cover-age of volost´s and their interconnection with landscape zones are viewed in the article. The structure and the location of the landowners of different tapes are ana-lyzed. The dynamics of the micro-regional economic systems indicates the crisis tendencies in the economy of the mid-XVI century
