Abstract

In the article the author gives analise of different forms of social support in Tver region after the Great reforms. This period of history characterizes socio-economical development. There were both positive and negative processes. The number of people who were in neede of social support grew. They inctuded: homeless, orphans, the poors, unemployed. The author analyses how the state and societi reacted to the new social challenges. Among preventive measures taken by the government and social organizations. There was the increasing number of the old organisations and ppearing of the new ones. The tendencies of social supporting were main features of Russia and could be also seen in Tver region. Tver region took one of the first places in the field of medicine and education. Such institutions as orphan houses, vocational schools, hospitals for mentally disabled people, colonies for juvenile criminals, public nurseries. Thus, the basis of the united social supporting system was formed.
