Abstract

Article is devoted studying of public and legal activity of the Emperor of Sacred Roman Empire Ludwig Bavarsky during its Italian campaign in the beginning of XIV century. The main attention is paid to new aspects of imperial ideology and specific forms of presentation the power of new emperor in Rome. The perception of this events by the author of the Florentine chronicle Giovanni Villani is also investigated
