Abstract

The article is devoted to activity of the Renovationist organization of Kalilnin diocese in 1935–1938. The author shows that NKVD officials in Kalinin Region didn’t eliminate most of the local Renovationists in “Great Terror”. The Tver Renovationists assisted NKVD officials in eliminating partisans of Patriarch Tikhon Church as witnesses. As a result of these activities they lost the support of believers and soon ceased to exist
