Abstract

The article is devoted one of plots in the history of the Russian higher school of boundary XIX–XX. – discussions about a parity in educational practice specialized and the general education. It is shown the sense and the maintenance of the concept of the «synthetic» formation. On an example of Russian higher school of social studies in Paris attempt of realization of the concept in practice is investigated, conditions, possibilities and mechanisms of its realization are analyzed
