Abstract

The article is devoted to research of religious crimes among Russian orthodox peasantry of second half XIX – beginning of XX century. On the basis of statistical and archival materials the author has come to conclusion, that the ma-jority of such crimes were committed because of irascibility and drunkenness and was not the evidence of peasant’s secularity or anticlericalism
