The article presents the results of archaeological research conducted by Tver State University in Tver at 39 and 41 Naberezhnaya Volgi River in 2006 and 2013. Based on the analysis of the excavation planigraphy and stratigraphy, as well as the identified archaeological complexes, individual and mass finds, it is shown that the period of greatest activity occurred in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. Special attention is paid to the medieval materials obtained during the excavations, among which there are pits containing the remains of underground structures of frame-pillar residential buildings. The information obtained is generally consistent and complements the data from written sources and the results of other archaeological studies in this area of the city, and is of interest for the reconstruction of the layout of the eastern outskirts of the Zatveretsky Posad in Tver.
