History of Regional-Demographic Development of Border Trans-baikalia in the Late XX – Late XXI Centuries: Contempromary Do-mestic Historiography

This article is devoted to the consideration of the main theoretical provisions of domestic scientists on the regional-demographic history of the border Transbaikal region in the 1990s-2010s. In the course of applying comparative-historical and problem-chronological scientific methods, six groups of research areas were identified: the first group, concerning the consideration of the evolution of spatial-territorial transformations; the second group, including studies on the history of Transbaikal regional policy; the third group, concerning the analysis of the economic aspects of spatial transformations; the fourth group, associated with the consideration of the evolution of the population of border territories; the fifth group, devoted to the analysis of the influence of the border location on the development of the territories under consideration.
