Революция и Россия: «иное измерение» системного кризиса

Abstract

The author shows that modern ideas about the Russian revolution look futile. The verbosity of historiographical «generalizations» and the diversity of «discourses» reveal the semantic poverty of established research practices. Attempts to squeeze a picture of revolutionary chaos into the framework of political and economic history in its «progressive» hypostasis seem especially fruitless. Hence the result – a revelry of conspiracy fantasies, on the one hand, and attempts to impose rational logic on spontaneous processes, on the other. In these conditions, to clarify the picture, one should turn to «subtle matters» – first of all, to the emotional component of human existence. This side of pre-revolutionary reality was most vividly reflected in the works of the most prominent Russian writers and poets.
