Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the data from the archive of G. I. Ivanovsky, one of the prominent figures in the Borovichi local history movement. In the 1960s and 1970s, he collected a body of information on 157 Mesolithic and Early Iron Age sites located in the territory of today's Novgorod and Tver regions. G. I. Ivanovsky's materials formed the basis for M. P. Zimina's research, but the level of cartography in her publications does not allow us to talk about the exact location of the sites, most of which were not certified. The local historian's archive contains a large number of descriptions, diagrams, drawings, and photographs, which makes it possible to localize the sites with high accuracy. The authors of the article mapped and cataloged the sites for their further study and placement under state protection.
