Abstract

The most important component of Eurasian ideology was the historical concept, which was formed gradually, as the movement itself evolved. A rather important place in it was occupied by the figure of Alexander Nevsky, in addition to Genghis Khan, he became almost the only statesman whose name was included in the name of the works of Eurasian authors. One of them was N.A. Klepinin's book «The Holy and Faithful Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky», which lacked the basic terms and concepts of Eurasian ideology, such as «location», «Eurasian statehood» or «Russia-Eurasia». However, key conclusions were written under the influence of the article by G.V. Vernadsky «Two exploits of St. Alexander Nevsky», one of the creators of the historical concept of the movement. In their opinion, the struggle with the Latin West and subordination to the Eurasian East became the key to the preservation of Orthodoxy and the revival of Russian statehood, and the prince himself laid the foundations of this process.
