The 4th issue of the journal for 2023 publishes articles by Russian historians, which present the results of research into public sentiment in Russia on the eve of the First World War (Doctor of Historical Sciences V.B. The "Archaeology" section publishes an article by L.M. Ilyasov devoted to the study of the sacred meaning of the cross in the petroglyphs of Chechnya.
The issue traditionally publishes articles by postgraduate students. They present the results of research into monastic land ownership in the Rzhevsky district of the Moscow state in the 15th - first half of the 17th centuries (V.O. Bogdanov), land relations in the Novgorod land in the 14th-17th centuries (N.D. Meneleev), the scientific heritage of E.P. Blavatsky (O.A. Mendeleyev)
In the section dedicated to criticism and scientific life, a review by Doctor of Historical Sciences V.P. Buldakov on the monograph by V.V. Khatarev-Garnishevsky ("Confrontation. Special Services, Army and Power on the Eve of the Fall of the Russian Empire, 193-1917. Moscow, 2020") is published.
