Some aspects of prevention escapes from the institutions of the penitentiary system

Abstract
The article is devoted to consideration of the aspects relating to escapes of convicts and persons in custody from the institutions of the penitentiary system of Russia. The author gives a common characteristics of escapes and most frequently used methods and conditions that contribute to their commission. Marked the actions of officials of the institutions and bodies of the penitentiary system at the initial stage of investigation of these penitentiary offences; to conduct search of persons who have escaped; to organize and carry out official checks on the facts admitted by convicts, suspects and accused persons escapes. In the perspective of ensuring of non-escape safety it is needed to improve the preparation of forces and means of the institutions and bodies of the penitentiary system to actions in the event of the extraordinary circumstances occurrence, to enhance the level of material and technical provision of service activity of the units as well as the effectiveness of the use of special dogs to detect drugs and psychotropic substances, to improve interagency cooperation with other law-enforcement bodies of Russia.
