Abstract

The object of this article is the norms of Spanish legislation defining measures to protect women from domestic violence. The main method of research is comparative law. The purpose of this research is to show the place of private law measures in the system of legal protection of women from domestic violence. Minor children of women are recognized as victims of domestic violence. Family social relations with the participation of women are the subject of an independent branch of law (family law). They are provided with broad protection by other branches of law. Civil, administrative and criminal legal instruments are used. The author makes a conclusion about the effectiveness of special private-law measures of protection from family violence: a ban on cohabitation, deprivation and restriction of parental rights, assignment of alimony and others
