Abstract

The prerequisites for reforming national legislation, including family legislation, are analyzed in the context of new ideological challenges. The formation of new and strengthening of existing principles for regulating relations affecting the rights and interests of family members has acquired the character of a state task. The article demonstrates the interconnection and interdependence of the goal preserving and ensuring traditional family values, attaching high importance to the institution of family as the basis of social organization by solving problems to improve the regulation of certain areas of relations with the participation of family members.The author correlates modern socio-political transformations with the needs of regulating social relations, including in the sphere of exercising the rights of citizens in the family, draws conclusions about the prospects for the development of domestic family legislation.
