Abstract

The article discusses certain criminological characteristics of beatings or other violent acts in cases of administrative offenses, such as the time of commission, the mechanism for committing offenses, social factors, etc. The authors, based on sociological and statistical research methods, made an attempt by studying and comparing the materials of cases of administrative offenses considered by magistrates of the Ust-Kulomsky district of the Komi Republic in 2019-2021, to establish the relationship between objective and subjective factors affecting the frequency of the acts in question. The results of the study help to better understand the reasons for beatings or other violent acts that cause physical pain, and can also be used by law enforcement officers to organize preventive work.
