Abstract

The object of the study is the application of legal norms that have established responsibility for public actions aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintain international peace and security. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the timeliness and necessity of these norms. The task of the study is to identify the features of their application. The main method of research is comparative. The result of the study is the conclusion that it is necessary to establish the responsibility of officials for public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens.
