About the honorary name of Tver state university: the legal aspect

Throughout most of its history, Tver State University has carried honorary titles in honor of outstanding figures. This requires consideration of the issue of giving it an honorary name, which is currently missing, taking into account the new historical realities. The purpose of the article is to reveal the prospects of giving Tver State University an honorary name within the framework of the policy on patriotic and spiritual and moral education of youth in the Russian Federation and the state policy of the Tver Region as a subject of the Russian Federation related to the veneration of the outstanding merits of the Holy Prince Mikhail Tversky. The role of the honorary name of an educational organization in its development, patriotic and spiritual and moral education of young people is considered. The research methods are complexity and a systematic approach, formal logic, comparative analysis, synthesis. There is a need to implement a state policy aimed at giving educational institutions an honorary name, including in honor of outstanding historical figures. This helps to educate young people about these people, enhance historical culture, popularize the history of the Fatherland, form spiritual and moral values, and patriotic education. It seems advisable to give Tver State University an honorary name in honor of the Holy Prince Mikhail Tversky, the veneration of whose outstanding achievements is an element of the state policy of the Tver region. The name in the name of the words "Holy" and "Blessed" does not deny the secularism of education and corresponds to the name used officially in the award systems of the city of Tver, the Tver region, the name of one of the central streets of the city of Tver, etc. Giving the name of the Holy Prince Mikhail of Tver to Tver State University.
