Abstract

The article examines the provisions of the current legislation in the context of ensuring traditional family values ​​and the value of the family as a socio-legal category. The author focuses on the grounds and forms of manifestation of private interest of family members, demonstrating possible options for ignoring the value of the family as a social unit. At the same time, a critical analysis of certain legal provisions is presented, the application of which, in the author’s opinion, is aimed at artificially preserving the family, which, on the contrary, leads to leveling the value of family legal status. The author also appeals to the norms of current legislation that need improvement from the point of view of preserving traditional family values.
