Personal labor participation as an optional characteristic of family entrepreneurship

The article considers the peculiarities of the emergence and development of family entrepreneurship, analyzes the changes in the roles of its participants, possible transition from personal labor participation to control through ownership or termination of participation in such activities for various reasons. It is noted that participation in family entrepreneurship can take various forms, is not reduced only to personal labor participation. The most important may be organizational, financial, creative participation, provision of property, including jointly acquired and in common ownership, bearing the risks of its loss and other entrepreneurial risks. It is concluded that the criterion of personal labor participation is not mandatory. At the same time, it is recognized that this criterion can be used as an additional (optional) criterion when providing targeted state support, without requiring a departure from a broader understanding of family entrepreneurship.
