Problems of state protection of maternity in the Russian Federation

The author considers the state mechanism of maternity protection as a set of measures that differ in content, purpose, and scope of activities that ensure the implementation of the constitutional obligation of the state to protect motherhood. The author also identifies the problems of protecting the rights of mother and child from arbitrary state interference in child-parent relations, in solving intra-family issues. The analysis carried out in the article allows us to conclude that it is necessary to legislate the criteria for permissible state interference in family affairs, in particular, child-parent relations, which will allow us to develop effective directions for improving family legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of protecting the rights of family members.
