Issues of ensuring rights and legitimate interests juvenile offenders

The article discusses the issues of prevention and prevention of juvenile delinquency from the point of view of ensuring their rights and legitimate interests. The author analyzes the main directions of legal regulation of the activities of bodies and institutions of the crime prevention system, and evaluates the effectiveness of their activities. Special attention is paid to the provisions of the probation legislation. It is noted that there is a need to refer to historical and foreign experience in establishing supervision over juvenile offenders. It is necessary to distinguish between measures that apply to all minors in order to prevent the commission of possible offenses, as well as measures aimed at preventing juvenile offenders from committing new socially dangerous acts. The conclusion on the establishment of special supervision over juvenile offenders is substantiated. Proposals have been formulated to amend the legislation on the prevention of juvenile delinquency.
