Abstract

The article discusses the issues of defining the interests of the local community as a constitutional and legal value. The local community, the primary subject of local self–government, is the representative of its interests, which are designed to determine the development of local self-government as a form of public authority. Consideration of the interests of the local community as a constitutional and legal value is carried out on the basis of an analysis of existing approaches to defining the content of the concept of "constitutional value", issues of the hierarchical structure of such values. The necessity of characterizing the interests of the local community as a constitutional value, which is the basis for the formation and implementation of local self-government as the basis of the constitutional system, is proved.
