The article analyzes individual issues of regulating the resumption of production due to new or newly discovered circumstances. The object of the study is the legal relations arising in connection with the need to resume a criminal case due to new or newly discovered circumstances and changes in the criminal procedure legislation regarding this institution. The article examines specific issues related to the procedure and grounds for resuming proceedings in a case. It provides relevant examples from judicial practice to illustrate certain aspects of this institution and analyzes the relevant legal positions of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts of the Russian Federation, highlighting problematic issues in the application of criminal procedure legislation.
