Constitutional and legal principles of family relations and their protection by the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation

The basic principles of the relationship between the family and the state are determined by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, where in Article 7 the state is recognized as a social state. The importance of issues of protection of family values, protection of the family, was also manifested in those changes that were made to the Constitution of the Russian Federation in 2020. The main goal of such changes is to determine the state's activities aimed at improving the living conditions of families and the younger generation, as well as ensuring conditions for the harmonious development of children. These values are guaranteed by appropriate legal regulation, judicial protection, and the forces of constitutional justice. The article examines the role of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation in protecting the family, its traditional values, and the property rights of family members.
