Abstract

Current legislative initiatives on children’s digital security are often restrictive, focusing only on preventing children from engaging in illegal activities. They do not take into account the risks associated with the dissemination of children’s personal data and the formation of their digital profiles. The child’s right to privacy may be violated by them, their parents or third parties. The data distributed on the Internet is used to create profiles that allow you to predict and manipulate the behavior of a minor. Therefore, specific legal mechanisms are needed: clarification of the procedure for obtaining the child’s consent to the dissemination of his data on the Internet, regulation of automated data processing and development of digital literacy.
