Abstract

The purpose of the study is to consider the legal and organizational problems of determining the category of fitness for service in the penal correction system during the military medical commission, taking into account current trends. During the research, the main method used was the dialectical method of scientific cognition of objective reality. In addition, the methodological basis of the study was the comparative legal method, which made it possible to analyze the regulatory legal framework in the field of law enforcement in question. As a conclusion, the authors proposed changes to the current legislation aimed at improving the effectiveness of activities to determine the category of fitness for service in the penal system.
