Abstract

The right to education and the obligation to complete a general secondary education–these constitutional norms apply not only to Russian citizens. Foreign citizens entering our country, and their minor children, can exercise their right to education. However, in practice (as evidenced by numerous publications in specialized literature and emerging methodological recommendations for educating migrant children), a migrant child's right to education is subject to a number of conditions and specific considerations. This article aims to examine some aspects of migrant children's enjoyment of their right to education. The research focuses on the relationships that arise when migrant children exercise their right to education. It focuses on regulations and law enforcement practices related to migrant children's education. It concludes that the right to education for migrant children is enshrined in the Constitution of the Russian Federation as a right for everyone, but is guaranteed by a number of conditions. One of the conclusions is a proposal to supplement testing: in addition to the Russian language test, a test on the fundamentals of lawful behavior should be introduced.
