Abstract

Labor is considered an effective means of rehabilitation for convicts serving sentences in prisons. Through work, convicts maintain their mental and physical health, develop professional skills, and learn communication skills. This article examines the specifics of remuneration for convicts in prisons and analyzes judicial practice related to convicts' complaints against unlawful actions by correctional institutions in refusing to assign them to work and for payment.
