Traditional spiritual and moral values as a guideline for the strategic development of the state

Currently, in the context of the transformation of the geopolitical situation, the issue of preserving traditional spiritual and moral values is of particular importance, among which the principle of the unity of the peoples of Russia occupies a special place. The concept of traditional spiritual and moral values has been repeatedly attempted to be defined in regulatory legal acts, as well as in strategic planning documents. However, given the evaluative nature of this definition, problems have been identified in the existing approaches to its legal consolidation. All these issues were raised at the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Constitutional and Legal Foundations for Ensuring the Unity of the Peoples of Russia as a Traditional Spiritual and Moral Value," held at the Faculty of Law on April 25, 2026. Reflections on the issues raised at the conference are presented in the article.
