Abstract

The article draws attention to the importance of the principle of humanism and its place in the system of principles. It is shown that this principle exists in the legal system as a fundamental idea and as a specific legal norm in criminal law. The manifestation of the principle of humanism in legal situations, which are usually not considered from such positions, is noted. The necessity of maintaining a balance in the manifestation of the principle of humanism in relation to the participants in legal relations is substantiated by the example of solving the issue of bringing a judge to disciplinary responsibility. The article analyzes the action of the principle of humanism in the application of measures of criminal responsibility.
