Abstract

The connection between the main institutions of civil law and the legislation of the Russian Federation on culture has been revealed and proved. A position is expressed about a negative attitude in focusing attention in legal science in understanding the content of "cultural values" primarily as material goods. Proposals have been formulated to amend the legislation of the Russian Federation on culture in order to establish closer and deeper, system-dependent ties with civil law institutions in order to more effectively legally regulate and protect cultural values.
