Abstract

The article touches upon issues related to the appointment and production of expertise of cultural values, analyzes the problems associated with expert analysis and evaluation of works for authenticity, determination of their historical, cultural and material value, examines issues related to the legal status of a person who may be involved in giving an opinion on the attribution of an object to cultural values. Special attention is paid to the specifics of asking questions to the expert, which are formulated by the investigator in the resolution on the appointment of an examination of cultural values.
