Abstract

This article examines the legal status of migrant children located on the territory of the Russian Federation in the context of the current norms of the national legal system, as well as the norms of international law. The author describes two types of legal regimes: the presence of foreign minors and stateless persons on the territory of the Russian Federation in the presence of accompanying legal representatives (parents, guardians, etc.) and, most importantly, unaccompanied by the latter. The article analyzes the most pressing issues related to the administrative and legal status of migrant children, affecting their rights, duties and responsibilities of this category of persons on the territory of the Russian state, in the context of strategic planning documents in the Russian Federation and threats to national security.
