ABOUT THE CONTENT OF THE DISCIPLINE «INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN LEGAL ACTIVITY»

The new Russian Standard of Higher Education, used in the training of bachelors of law, allows universities to independently create the list of taught courses. The author, taking into account modern trends, offers his own understanding of the content of the discipline "Information technology in legal practice". General purpose of the article is generating a plan of the discipline according on the repealed and current Educational Standards and preparing critical comparative analysis of all main textbooks by the discipline. These methods, combined with personal experience of the author, made the following results. The article substantiates the conclusion that this academic discipline should reflect the real needs of lawyers and correspond to the current level of technology development. The author shows on concrete examples important aspects of this academic discipline, which will really be useful for future lawyers, such as computer soft, Internet services, electronic justice, etc. In the concluding Ivanov I.S. offers his sample thematic plan of the course and concludes that the issue of content remains open not only because the current standard of higher legal education transmits the regulation of the subjects taught to universities, but also largely depends on the author's point of view on the subject.Downloads
