The article is devoted to the debatable problem of responsibility for causing beatings. The changes in the criminal legislation are analyzed and, based on the materials of the judicial practice, the conclusion on the expediency of decriminalization of these acts is substantiated. In addition, problems in the practice of applying administrative responsibility have been identified and proposals have been formulated for introducing changes in the procedure for bringing to administrative responsibility.Published
