Abstract

The article deals with the intellectual rights of the child in the Russian Federation as an element of his legal status. Analyzing the doctrinal provisions, the current Russian legislation, the author came to the conclusion that the intellectual rights and responsibilities of the child in the intellectual sphere constitute an element of his legal status. The exercise of intellectual rights and the performance of intellectual duties are specific to the general provisions of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (Articles 26, 28), provisions of the Family Code of the Russian Federation (Articles 34-36) and some other normative legal acts, which proceed from the truncation of the legal status of the child in comparison with the adult citizen. The author made proposals on improving the legislation of the Russian Federation in this field.
