Abstract

The article is devoted to such an important area of work of law enforcement agencies as an activity to compensate for damage caused by the commission of crimes. It is noted that significant material damage is caused as a result of the commission of crimes in the field of procurement to meet government needs. The authors, on the basis of the analysis of investigative and judicial practice, identify the most common elements of crimes in the field of public procurement and compare them with the newly established elements of crime in this area (Article 200.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The article identifies factors that adversely affect the compensation of damage. The authors have proposed a number of activities, which will contribute to the recovery of damage caused by crimes in the field of public procurement. The article draws attention to the fact that priority is given to measures aimed at identifying stolen property, as well as identifying property and money to be seized.
