The issue of the doctrine of equitable estoppel in the Russian law

The article is devoted to new for the Russian legal reality tool of defense of subjective rights, namely the doctrine of estoppel. The origin of this doctrine in international public relations and its influence on private relationships are analyzed. Also the essence of the phenomenon and its legal anchoring in the Russian civil law are described. A brief analysis of the application of this doctrine in practice is made and the farther research directions are determined.Published
