Abstract

The authors of the article seek to clarify the content of the concept of «self-alienation» and then correlate it with the concept of «reconciliation». They concluded that there are three main approaches to understanding the concept of «self-alienation,» which can be stated by drawing on the creative heritage of C. Marx, M. Heidegger and C. Horney. According to the authors of the article, the creative heritage of E. Fromm harmoniously combines all three of these approaches to understanding self-alienation, and therefore it is in the interpretation of E. Fromm that the concept of «self-alienation» should be correlated with the concept of «reconciliation».
