Issue No. 1 (59) 2022 publishes articles by researchers dedicated to the philosophical analysis of Russia's imperial status, problems of capitalist inequality, the impact of global megatrends on institutional design, and urgent issues of Russian and Western historical-philosophical thought.
The section "Man, Science, Culture" considers the geopolitical and pan-ideational contours of Russia's imperial restoration, the phenomenon of inequality under modern capitalism, the impact of the Cold War and the financial crisis on turns in the history of institutional design ideas, the methodological limits of social-philosophical futurology, the lost time of human economic existence, and virtual reality as a factor of altered states of consciousness. The authors turn to the features of critical thinking, mobility as a new anthropological perspective for youth, patriotism and Orthodoxy as Cossack values, semiohermeneutic fictions and overestimated validity in modern religious subcultures, the nature of urbanization, and replacement migration as a determinant of Russian identity (articles by V.V. The section "Problems of Russian Philosophy" focuses on P.N. Milyukov's foreign trips as a transition from apprenticeship to scientific dialogue, and the value coordinates of the Cossack worldview in M.A. Sholokhov's works (articles by E.E. Mikhailova, A.P. Komarov).
In the section "Western Philosophy and Contemporary World," the authors turning to Isaac Newton in search of the truths of Scripture, H. Grotius' treatise "On the Law of War and Peace" as a philosophical-legal basis for national security, the genesis of F. Nietzsche's philosophical outlook, and I. Berlin's perspective on Romanticism. The papers also investigate F. Ankersmit’s theory of the sublime historical experience alongside political representation and representative democracy in his philosophy (articles by I.A. Frolova, V.A. Ksenofontov, V.V. Bulanov, V.P. Potamskaya, K.V. Anufrieva, O.I. Tumanova).
