Abstract

The article analyzes the continuity as the basis for the effective development of foreign language speech activity of undergraduates and postgraduates. An analysis of the of university teachers experience in the development of foreign language speech activity of students is presented. A retrospective analysis of my own pedagogical activity as a teacher has been carried out. The definition of continuity in the development of foreign language speech activity of undergraduates and postgraduates as a general pedagogical principle is given. Within contextual learning three forms of organization of foreign language teaching and speech activity of undergraduates and postgraduates have been identified and their role in the formation of professional thinking has been analyzed
