The article focuses on the analysis of the current state of the advanced training among teaching staff on the theoretical and methodical levels. The purpose of the research is to identify the factors, which have a positive effect on the development of teacher’s professional competences. In this article are studied core functions of the retraining institutions, paraprofessional situations, which encourage the professional development of the teacher, and teacher’s self-educational activities during intercourse period.
